Capital Hotel Capital Hotel Group is one of the largest accommodation providers in Canberra, boasting almost 500 rooms, suites and apartments across three properties. The locally owned and operated company includes iconic properties such as Avenue Hotel, Deco Hotel, and Pavilion on Northbourne, each conveniently centrally located throughout the nation’s capital.
Capital Hotel Group were looking for a full-service digital marketing agency specialising in the hotel and travel industry to outsource their digital marketing and to support their current Digital Marketing Manager.
Being in a highly competitive and highly seasonal market, with also a large increase in the percentage of their bookings for each property being made via Online Travel Agents (OTAs).
Capital Hotel Group have now been clients of Fastrack for over 7 years using our full outsourced digital marketing service. This includes providing them with updated websites for each of their businesses including their individual restaurants using the latest UX/UI trends to drive more direct bookings, a quarterly digital strategy that includes SEO, a content strategy, Paid Media including Search Ads, Google’s Performance Max, Display Advertising, Remarketing, YouTube BING promoting a strong call to action to book direct.
We also look after Capital Hotel Group’s email marketing and past guest communication strategy including targeted campaigns and their highly successful Happy Hour campaign email campaigns that generate hundreds of thousands of dollars every campaign.
In February 2024, Fastrack Digital launched a fully customised website for Capital Hotel Group. Our collaborative approach allowed the CHG team to provide their visions of the brand and the Fastrack Digital UI/UX team delivered it. Aside from improving and adding a new feel to the brand, we focused on cross-promoting all three properties in each website.

Month on month all Capital Hotel Group properties achieve a ratio of over 70% direct bookings compared to via OTAs. Since the launch of CHG's new website, conversion rates have improved and SEO has brought in almost half of the traffic to the website. Click through rates for their email campaigns constantly achieve over 60% open rate and over $500 thousand is generated per month from email campaigns alone.
